Measurement of structure-borne noise transmission

Sound insulation between two premises, not only depends on the sound insulation of the separating element but also the indirect transmission paths that make up the different building elements. Therefore, sound may be transmitted from one premises to another due to the separating element (direct path) and via the walls, ceilings or shared floors (indirect paths).

With our measuring equipment of solid state noise and vibration transmission via the various building elements in a premises, we can identify loss of insulation via the indirect transmission paths and assess the need to reinforce the sound insulation. In so doing, we are able to optimise the sound insulation levels of the proposed solution for the separating element, thereby reducing the necessary investment to solve existing noise problems.
